It’s that time of the year, when all the pollination you undertook over summer has developed into lovely ripe pods full of seed. Please remember the Northern Tasmanian Lilium Society Inc., as the Seed Exchange requires donations.
If you have any spare seed left over this year, can you please consider
donating it to the Societies Seed Exchange? All lilium, allied and
companion plant seeds are welcome. If you can candle the seed for
donation, it will be greatly appreciated. Please make sure each
individual seed lilium seed lot is clearly labelled, with its division,
cross, parent’s ploidy level if known and your name.
The seed exchange will be open to members of N.T.L.S. only! If you are not a member of N.T.L.S., we encourage you to join the N.T.L.S. and place a seed order at the same time.It is intended to produce a seed catalogue, which will include photographs of some of the seed parents. So, if you have photographs of the seed parents, can you please supply them, along with the details of the parents name and your name clearly written in pencil on the back of the photograph. Digital photographs can also be emailed to;-

t is intended for an extended catalogue to also be available online at our www.liliums.org. The online version will include all parents in the listing that have pictures available. In order to view them, you simply click on the highlighted parent’s name and a new window will appear with the photograph in it. The seed catalogue and order forms will be published in the May 2007 Newsletter, and available online from the 30 May 2007.
NOTE:
You will be required to include Payment with all Seed Exchange Orders.
Along with the normal catalogue items, it has been suggested that there be a small selection of the best seed reserved for a Seed Auction. The deadline for receipt of auction bids would be June 30, 2007. You submit your bid(s) by mail or email. You will be able to submit your bid(s) on an Auction sheet provided with the seed list. You will be asked to include not only the seed number and amount bid, but also your name, address and phone number. The suggested minimum bid is to be $5.00 per packet.
With multiple packet lots, the highest bidders will receive one packet each. If there are identical bids, the earliest one received will be the winner. The seeds along with an invoice for payment will be sent to the successful bidders. The invoice balance is to be paid to the N.T.L.S. within 30 Days of receiving your Auction Seed.
